Alvin Marvis "Tar" Busick, 74 , went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. He was born in Guilford County son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Lillie Belle Chrismon Busick and was married to Mona Simmons Busick who survives. He was a member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired employee of AT&T. He is survived by his wife of the home, daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Ricky Smith and Misty and Randy Lovings, both of Browns Summit; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann and Tom Oliver of Gibsonville, Virginia Smithey of Browns Summit; brother and sisters-in-law, Leo and Vannie Busick of Browns Summit and Frances Busick of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ourelia Hogan, Ruby Brown and Nellie Andrews; and brothers, Joyce and Deuel Busick. The funeral was held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Apple's Chapel Christian Church by Rev. C. Allen Myers III and Dr. Dace Lewis. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
