Annie “Ann” Busick Oliver, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Busick and Lillie Belle Chrismon Busick. She was the wife of 64 years to John Thomas Oliver who died in 2012.
Ann was a lifetime member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir and the Women’s Fellowship. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Nelda O. Robbins and her husband, Don; son, Tommy V. Oliver and his wife, Becky; grandchildren, Meredith Hargett, Donald Robbins, Jonathan Robbins, Lesly Robbins and Dena Robbins; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Leo Busick and his wife, Vannie and sister-in-law, Mona Simmons Busick. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Marvis “Tar” Busick, Joyce Busick and Deuel Busick and sisters, Nellie Andrews, Ruby Brown, Ourelia Hogan and Virginia Smithey.
A service to celebrate her life was held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church by Rev. Dave Johnson and Dr. Dace Lewis with the burial following in the church cemetery.
