James Edward Wooldridge, 73 years old, passed away at the home of one of his sons, Abner Wooldridge, early Friday morning, December 31, after an illness of three months, caused from a stroke. He was a well-known and highly respected citizen of this county.
He is survived by six children, Mrs. Ivan C. Powell, Felix Wooldridge, Porter Wooldridge, Abner Wooldridge, Mrs. O.H. Holt, and Albert Wooldridge, all of this county. Also three brothers, four sisters, 17 grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H.T. Chandler, Saturday morning, January 1, with burial in Swan Pond, by his wife.
