John W. Hutcheson was the father of five children, Christina Gabrielle, born 1869, married Charles A. Hazelrigg in 1888; Sidney J., born 1872, married Estella Luther in 1900; E. Drucilla, born 1875, married William "Bill" Bonner in 1893; Samuel S., born 1877, never married; and Minnie Lee, born 1879, married Robert Martin in 1901.
Hutcheson served as a Sgt. in the Confederate Army, Co. I, 14th (Powers) AR Infantry Regt.
