Mrs. Esther Victoria Abrahamson (Alex) Carlson was born in the Almelund community on June 24, 1892 where she was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church and has been a member of that church since infancy.
On March 5, 1916 she was united in marriage with Carl Alexander Carlson who preceded her in death on April 29, last year.
This union was blessed with five children of which two are still living. They are the sons, Carl of Kost and Burton of Almelund. Two grandsons and one granddaughter survive her as do her brothers Frank, Anford, Elmer, Arthur, and John Abrahamson, a sister, Mrs. Andrew Lundberg. There are many other relatives.
For a number of years mrs. Carlson has been failing in health. Death came at the hospital in Osceola, Wisconsin early Sunday morning, April 17. She was then 62 years, 9 months, and 23 days of age.
Mrs. Carlson will be remembered for the devoted service she gave her church.
Funeral services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Almelund on Tuesday afternoon.
Pastor O. T. Erickson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
