William remarried as well, taking Lillie Osborne as his second wife in late 1926. They had no children together.
I've often wondered how my great-grandmother supported herself between 1926 and 1932, and recently learned from some distant cousins that she may have sold bootleg whiskey from her apartment in downtown Mt. Sterling during that time. I also learned that many of the 6 children under 16 who remained at home after the divorce went to live with their father and step-mother in Winchester. I would love to learn more about this time in their lives if anyone reading this has information to share.
