William Clay Hedrick, my great-grandfather, is buried beside his second wife, Lillie Osborne Hedrick (1891-1981). They married in 1926.
His first wife was my great-grandmother, Emma Manley Hedrick Wilson.

I've been told that my great-grandfather was a lovely man with a quick wit and engaging personality. He loved a good joke and to laugh. I have memories of him as a tall, lean man with snow white hair in a pressed white shirt and dark pants, sitting in a rocking chair next to an old stand up radio that was near a window in his house. Great-aunt Sallie who was deaf and mute, was his sister who lived with him. She would sit nearby when we would visit. As a toddler, I was a bit afraid of Sallie, but have been told she was a very sweet and loving woman. Since I can't recall much, I hope to rely on the memory of friends to help me fill in the holes.
