My Papaw Charlie was a sweet and loving man. We kids loved to pile onto his lap for hugs and nickles. Papaw was a Greyhound Bus driver for many years, a farmer and father to 8 children,5 surviving to adulthood: Judy Taylor Hedrick Hester (died in 1977 of breast cancer), Ruth Ann Hedrick Henry, John Raymond Hedrick, Betty Hedrick Slusher (died in 1978 from stroke, and my father Charles Morton Hedrick who died in 1979. Mamaw and Papaw were living in Kissimmee, Florida when he died of cancer in 1965.
