She was born on June 2, 1922 in Farmer City, Illinois, to Mary Ann and James Dow Turpin. Irene married Peter Senteff on April 18, 1944. They lived in Des Plaines, Illinois until they moved to Tempe, Arizona. Irene had one surviving sister, Marjorie Kubisiak of South Bend, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Peter; her twin sister, Ilene Bangerter of Bountiful, Utah; sister, Ethel Williams of Gilbert, Arizona; a brother, Robert Campbell of Hemet, California; and sister, Shirley Turpin of Farmer City, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to: Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656 or Donor's choice. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM, Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Stapley Stake Center Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1100 N. Cooper Rd., Gilbert, AZ, followed by services at 11 AM.
