Josephine Posey was born on the 23rd of February, 1908 in Missouri to Jno Posey and Mary (?) Posey. In 1910, Josephine and her family lived in Carlton, Chicot County, Arkansas and then moved by 1927 to Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi. On the 24th of May, 1927 she married James Price Berger, the son of David Martin Berger and Mary Jane (Price) Berger, in Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi. By late 1930, her, husband and two sons (James and Joseph) moved to Panola County, Texas and then by April 1940, they had moved to West Carroll Parish, Louisiana. Before 1989, the family had moved to Riverside County, California.
Josephine passed away on the 26th of June, 1996 in Blythe, Riverside County, California. She survived her husband James Price Berger (1902-1989) [Find A Grave Memorial# 36481278] and at least one of her son’s James Thomas Berger (1928-1994) [Find A Grave Memorial# 37599435]. Unknown if her son Joseph E. Berger survived her (1930-?).
Her death was preceded by her father Jno Posey (1871-?) and mother Mary (?) Posey.
