James Price Berger was born on February 20, 1902, in Old River, Wilkinson County, Mississippi to David M. Berger and Mary Jane (Price) Berger. By 1910 he had moved with the family to Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi. In 1927 he had married Josephine Posey, the daughter of Jno Posey and Mary (?) Posey. By late 1930, they and their two sons (James and Joseph) moved to Panola County, Texas and then by April 1940, they had moved to West Carroll Parish, Louisiana. Before 1989, the family had moved to Riverside County, California. James passed away on May 17, 1989 in Riverside County, California.
James was survived by his wife Josephine (1908-1996) [Find A Grave Memorial# 36481301] and two sons James Thomas (1928-1994) [Find A Grave Memorial# 37599435] and Joseph E (1930- ) Berger.
His death was preceded by his parents David M.
