Miss Harper, owner and operator of the Essie Harper Insurance Agency in Crowville, passed away in New Orleans October 26. She was a member of the Baptist church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Acting pallbearers were Lee McDuffie, F. P. Talpert, Walter Richardson, Sonny Beall, Henry Harper and Paul Price.
Burial was in the Crowville Masonic cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral home of Winnsboro.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. W. A. Dunn, West Monroe, Mrs. Inez Street, West Monroe, Miss Alma Harper, Crowville; four brothers, R. D., W. L. and J. A. Harper, all of Crowville, and E. C. Harper, of Mangham.
