A native of Winn Parish, she was born July 5, 1909. She was a member of Crowville United Methodist Church and a retired elementary school teacher at Crowville Elementary School. She had resided in Crowville for most of her life. She died on Sept. 23, 1984, following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include one brother, J. A. Harper, Crowville; one sister, Mrs. Inez Harper(Street), West Monroe; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Joel Street, William Street. Jimmy Street, Charlie Hatten, Jeffrey Hatten and Scott Hatten.
