Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
A native of Winn Parish, he was born August 24, 1894. He was a merchant and retired farmer. He died on June 10, 1983, following a lengthy illness.
Masonic graveside services were held.
Survivors include one daughter, Sannie D. Higdon, Denver, Colo.; one brother, J. A. Harper, Crowville; three sisters, Sibbie Dunn and Alma Harper, both of West Monroe and Inez Street of Crowville.
Pallbearers were Jim Street, Reddock Windham, Emmitt Richardson, E. F. Vickers, J. O. Richardson, Jr., and Roy McDuffie.
