Anna Fay Cress went to be with her beloved savior on April 9, 2009. She was born December 20, 1924 to George F. and Nancy M. Chappell True in Wise County Texas. She married the love of her life, Max Cress, October 10, 1943. They had five children, James, Greg, Nancy, Rene' and Carol. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Emblem Club, Eastern Star and the Red Hot Hattie's. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Max A. Cress, and her sons, James and Greg.


She is survived by:


Daughters: Nancy Payne of Garland, Texas Rene' and husband Gene Roberts of Mena, Arkansas


Son: Carol and wife Martha Cress of Monticello, Arkansas


Daughters-in-law: Stephanie Cress of Concord, California, Judy Cress of Maumelle, Arkansas


Grandsons: Josh Roberts, Bryan Payne, Devin Payne, Max Cress, Ray Goyne, Jason Ratterree


Granddaughters: Karen Benson, Meredith Williams, Melissa Christy, Andi Thompson, Laura Braswell, Laura Goyne, Kaylie Goyne


5 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.


A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
