John Kinghorn, originally Calico Printer and afterwards Clerk.- was the seventh child & fourth son of David Kinghorn and Margaret Young; he was born at Renton on 16th January 1794. Baptized by the Rev'd William Taylor, Minister of the Secession Church, Renton. He died at Osborne Place, Copeland Road, Govan, Glasgow, on 24th January 1871, aged 77 years, and was interred in the Southern Necropolis (Central Division), Glasgow.
