Janet Mathieson, born at Renton, on 29th December 1794. Registered at Dumbarton. She was married to John Kinghorn, at Lennoxtown, Campsie, on 30th June 1820, by the Rev'd. Dr. Marshall, Minister of the Secessions Church, Kirkintilloch.

Mrs. Kinghorn (Janet Mathieson) died at Osborne Place, Copeland Road, Govan, on 7th August 1875, aged 77 years and 8 months; and was interred beside her husband in Southern Necropolis, Glasgow.
