Daisy Arlene {RUSSELL} Mills was born to Homer and Sarah Leona [Hamill] Dec. 9, 1917 in Chanute, Ks. Arlene grew up with 2 Brothers and three Sisters. She rode a horse 3 miles to a 1 room School named Green Valley through the 8th. grade. Arlene moved to Zillah in 1945 and worked in a grocery store which she loved.
She met and married Loyd Mills and they have one son and one daughter. She loved animals and living on a farm. Her hobbies are tatting, embroidery, crochet and baking bread.
Arlene was preceded in death by her mother and father, all of her brothers and sisters; and her husband, Lloyd on Oct.20, 1971
She is survived by her son, Barry Ellis Mills of Yakima; Her daughter, Lois Mae Parrish of Sacramento, Ca; a niece Mary Betty Franklin of Zillah; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday from 9-5 and the funeral service will be held Wed. at 10:00 a.m. at the illah Chapel of Valley hills Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Zillah City Cemetery.
