Abigail D Diller was born 22 Feb 1861 in Cumberland County Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Joseph Diller and Rose Anna Lutz. She married James Monroe Karns, they made their home at 801 Factory St. Carlisle, PA. James died in 1931 and he is buried in the Dillsburg Cemetery with his first wife. to Annie E Myers Karns.


Mrs. Abigail D. Karns, 83, widow of Monroe Karns, 801 Factory street, Carlisle, died Saturday [December 2, 1944] at her home. She was a member of the Grace United Brethren Church, Carlisle, and General Todd Council No. 161, Sons and Daughters of Liberty.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs Alice Zeigler, Carlisle, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday [Decemeber 5, 1944] at 3.30 p. m. at the Lutz funeral home. Carlisle, the Rev. Paul R. Koontz at Grace United Brethren Church Carlisle, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown.
