WAYNE BANKSTON AND HIS FRIENDS FETED AT FISH-FRY
Wayne Bankston, who has been home on leave from San Diego, California, was the inspiration for a fish-fry at Chemin-A-Haut last Saturday night. Hosts for the occasion were Mr. & Mrs. Pat Murphy, Mr. & Mrs. Otis Berry, Mrs. G. E. Eckles and his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ted Bankston. Between 35 - 40 friends and relatives helped to make this an occasion for Wayne, who will leave for the Naval Base on April 11, 1951.

WAYNE BANKSTON IS RECENT BRIDEGROOM
A wedding of interest to residents here is that of Miss Joan Marie Garland and Wayne Bankston. The marriage was solemnized Saturday, March 14, 1953 in San Pablo, California. The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J. L. Garland of San Pablo. The bridegroom, now stationed with the Navy at Mare Island, California, is the son of Mr. & Mrs. T. A. Bankston of Bastrop.

FOX HUNTERS BENCH SHOW HERE MAY 27
The Morehouse Fox Association has scheduled a big bench show and field trials here Saturday, May 27, 1967 at 7 pm at the Fox Hunter's campground off the Cooper Lake Road. Wayne Bankston is President of the parish group and today he issued an invitation to all interested people to view the event or bring their entries. The hounds will be cast at 2 am following the Saturday show with the hunt terminating at 9 am. . . . Bankston said W. L. Mathews of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, will serve as ringmaster and trophies and ribbons will be given in all classes of the bench show and field trials. longer article
