John Ervin Capps, 66, Noblesville, IN, died of an apparent heart attack. He was employed as a farmer with Craig Farms and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Born in Monroe County, he was the son of the late William and Susan (Pruitt) Capps. He is survived by his wife, Alene Thompson Capps; Two sons, William, Noblesville, and Ollie Capps, Indianapolis; Three daughters, Clara Mahan, Indianapolis, Zora Dean, Cincinnati, Ohio and Carolyn Gordon, Livingston, TN; two brothers, Bonnie Capps, Noblesville,and Clifton Capps, Indianapolis; three sisters, Lissa Porter, Indianapolis, Lucy Henson, Red Boiling Springs and Vina Key, Cicero,IN; 22 grandchildren and six g-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Germany Church of Christ, Thursday morning, with Bro Gerald Watts officiating. Burial was in the Baily Cemetery.
