Ollie G. Capps, 60, was called home by Jesus on Friday, February 18, 2005.

Ollie was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky on September 18, 1944 to John and Alene Capps.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Donna Fishburn-Capps and sons; Steven and Shawn Capps, Randy Capps of Noblesville, IN and Adam VanCamp of Riverside, California; daughter, Darnella Adams; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Lora; great granddaughters, Justice and Destiny, all of Elkhart, IN.

Ollie is survived by his mother, Alene Capps-Urban; brother, Bill Capps and his wife, Becky of Elwood, IN; sisters, Zora Bell of Noblesville, Clara Mahan and her husband, Jim, of Indianapolis; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, John; sister, Carolyn Gordon and brothers, Rickie and Charles Capps.

Ollie worked at the Indianapolis Daimler Chrysler Foundry. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, Indianapolis 1st Ward. He enjoyed fishing and yard work, but his true passion was spending time with his youngest son, Shawn. No closer ‘buddies' could be found.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the CAPPS Fund at the Indianapolis Police Department Credit Union, 1502 East Washington Street, 46201 to help with expenses for Ollie's special needs son, Shawn.

Calling will be at G.H. Herrmann Madison Ave. Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave. on Sunday, February 20, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be at 900 East Stop 11 Road, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints on Monday, February 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the church. Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery.
