Mrs. Dollie Jarman, 83, of Big Spring died Thursday, January 27, 2000 at her daughters residence in Sand Springs, Texas. Services were at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2000 at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Sammy Elliott, Reverend Ken McMeans and Doctor Ted Spear officiating. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery, under direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jarman was born to Jessie and Lula Elliott on November 11, 1906 in Bell County, Texas. She was a resident of Colorado City from 1910 until she moved to Big Spring in 1987. She married Ward Parker Jarman on January 2, 1926. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Colorado City and a member of College Baptist Church of Big Spring. She was a 50 year member of the Mitchell County Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Dollie Ruth Montgomery, one son-in-law, Owen Lee Montgomery, one brother, Darrell Elliott, and one sister, Elnora Phillips.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay and Joe Wallis of Sand Springs, Texas; Sue and Eldon (Dink) Love of Odessa, Texas; seven grandchildren, Bobby Montgomery of Wichita, Kansas, Mary Ann Cannon of Colleyville, Texas, Steve Wallis of Victoria, Texas, Kathi Wilson of Plano, Texas, Brooks Wallis of Colorado City, Texas, Lisa Kuhns of Quitman, Texas, and Todd Love of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, Wesley and Deanie Elliott of Colorado City, Texas; two sisters, Lillian Justice of Colorado City, Texas and Modenia and Leslie Bassinger of Eldorado, Texas; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
