Moultrie—Gilbert Castleberry, 84, of Albany, died Monday, Sept. 21, at Palmyra Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sep. 24, at Ellenton Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Odom and Ralph Summerlin officiating.
Burial will be in Leila Cemetery.
His grandsons, Shawn Castleberry, Chad Castleberry, Joey Castleberry, Donnie Folsom, Frankie Hodnett, Michael Hodnett, DeWayne Hodnett, Junior Rogers, Tony Rogers, Roy Castleberry, Lucky Castleberry and Rodney Bell will serve as pallbearers.
Born November 24, 1913, in Colquitt County, Mr. Castleberry was the son of the late Jackson and Betty Castleberry.
He was retired from Southern Railroad Company and was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Roy Castleberry of Moultrie, Cleveland Castleberry and Jackie Castleberry, both of Ellenton; three daughters, Lois Folsom of Ellenton, Carrie Hodnett of Moultrie, Sherry Castleberry of Atlanta; one brother, O. C. Hargraves of Ellenton; two sisters, Era Bivins, of Moultrie, Eva Hamilton of Sylvester; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
