The names Erwin/Irwin/ & Ervin/Irvin are often enterchanged in the Mississippi records.
Josephine Rachel Erwin is the sister of my Great Grandmother Mary Jane Erwin, wife of my Great Grandfather Jonathan William Yankie. Another sister is Frances Cornelia “Fanny” Erwin who married Charles William “Charley” Burt in Mississippi, and relocated to China Spring, Texas. They are buried in China Spring Cemetery. (Nancy Yankie, granddaughter of Grover Leo Yankie and daughter of Boots Yankie.)∼May be Josephine Rachel Erwin who was the wife of William Spencer Mansfield, son of Dr Sylvester Mansfield. The dates are the same but there are two different graves noted in Cem records collected by Curtis & Wyllodeene Herrin 50s & 60s
I am going to include both graves until I can ask someone to verify the actual grave sites.
