George Clear, 80, father of Mrs. Harry Hall of Mulberry, died at the Logansport State hospital Wednesday, March 22. He had been in failing health for several years.
A retired farmer, he was a life-long resident of Clinton county. He was the son of Cornelius and Mary (Cripe) Clear. In 1896 he married Laura Winger, who died in 1947. He was a member of the Rossville Church of the Brethren.
Other survivors in addition to Mrs. Hall are two sons; one other daughter; four sisters; 11 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral rites were held Saturday afternoon in Rossville. Burial was in the Pleasant View cemetery.
