Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 23, at 2 p. m., in the Hartman Funeral Home, Frankfort, for Clyde Thomas Clear, 78, who died on Saturday morning at his home in Fort Myers, Fla. Mr. Clear, who had been in failing health for the last several years, was born in Cambria, Clinton county, Ind., Nov. 30, 1881, the son of Cornelius and Mary Jane (Cripe) Clear. In 1919 he married the former Helen Camp, who survives. A retired painter and decorator, Mr. Clear was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Fort Myers. He moved to Florida about seven years ago from Royal Center.

Survivors besides the widow include four sons, John, Ralph, Robert and James, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Waneta Hartman of Royal Center and Carolyn Clear of Fort Myers, Fla.; two step-sons, Eugene and Howard Camp of Logansport; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Weimer, Mrs. Alice Neher, Mrs. Della Eikenberry and Mrs. Anna Michael, all of Frankfort; a brother, George Clear of Cambria, and 11 grandchildren.

The Rev. A. P. Wenger of Rossville officiated at the final rites and burial was in Bunnell cemetery.
