LINCOLN -- Lyle W. Robbins, Sr., 71, of Lincoln died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday (July 14, 1999) at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. The Rev. Lloyd Nolan will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln, with full military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Lincoln-Logan Ambulance Service.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1927, in Armington, the son of Warren and Mildred Bennett Robbins. He married Dolores Smith on April 26, 1947, in Lincoln. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Lyle, Jr. and Douglas; ten sisters, Neva, Anna, Grace, Mary, Berta, Eva, Patsy, Betsy, Frances, and Alice; two brothers, Bob and David; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

His parents and four sisters preceded him in death.
