Genevieve A. Fritts died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA. She was born to Abner and Anna McKeen on January 1, 1918, in Republic, WA. On January 2, 1937, Genevieve married Frederick G. Fritts. They moved to Wenatchee in 1950. In 1996, following the death of her husband, she moved to Spokane to be near family. She is survived by her sons, Edwin of Seattle, Richard of Spokane, Gary and Thomas of Highland, CA; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Genevieve was active at St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Wenatchee, Malaga Homemakers, Order of the Eastern Star, and various quilter's clubs. Memorials may be made to the Republic Alumni Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 17, Republic, WA, 99166 or the charity of your choice. A Family Inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Evergreen Memorial Park, East Wenatchee with Reverend Patton Boyle officiating.
