Mrs. Anna Lewis Merritt daughter of James Gayle and Martha Ann (Lewis) Lewis She was born in Hancock County, Georgia, September 4, 1834; was married to Capt. T. M. Merritt, November 25, 1857; died at her home near Americus, Georgia, February 28, 1877.
