Son of Valentine "Felty" Waymire and Elizabeth Brile Hoover
His father, Felty, is noted as moving to Tennessee after Elizabeth's death in 1850 and where he died in 1855

Absalom had married three time:
His first wife, Judith, was the mother of ten children.
His second wife, Rebecca, gave birth to another child (who died as an infant).
His third wife, Mary, was at his later years in life

Absalom (aka Abe) was the first of nine children born to Felty and Elizabeth Waymire. By 1811, the family had settled in Ohio where Abe was raised. He married Judith Barnett in Dayton, Ohio on Oct 19, 1817 and, together, they had ten children between 1820 and 1838. Following the birth of their last child in February, 1838, Judith died on Aug 14, 1838. The family was living in Fountain County, Indiana by that time.

Abe soon after, on July 10, 1839 remarried to Rebecca Barnett (Not certain if Rebecca might have been a sister of Judith, a cousin of Judith, or perhaps she had previously been married to another man whose last name was Barnett). Regardless, they were married in Fountain County and had a son in 1841 who died shortly thereafter. They moved to Warren County, Indiana for a number of years where Rebecca died in 1853. Absalom would come back to Fountain County where he died and was buried in 1865.

He married Amelia Hastings Murphy Mar 2, 1854 in Warren County, Indiana as documented in Indiana Marriage Collection 1800-1941. Finally he married Mary Clark July 28, 1857 in Fountain County, Indiana as documented in Indiana Marriage Collection 1800-1941.
