Rev. Jacob Waymire was a United Brethren Minister. Married Elizabeth Lovejoy August 18, 1838, Wayne County, IN. They moved to Fountain in the 1850. Then Cherokee County, Kansas in the 1880's. Jacob and his son, Nathaniel, joined the Union Army. Jacob's father was Valentine Waymire.

He was a Minister in Columbus, Kansas.
