Mrs josephine Pionkowski

At the age of 90; Mrs. Josephine Josephine Pionkowski, 700 6th Ave. died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Hospital.
Mrs Pionkowski had been making her home for the Past three years with a nephew and his wife, Mr. nad Mrs. Mike Stroik. She was formerly a resident of the Polonia area in the Town of Sharon.
In ill health for the past year, she had been hospitalized for a month before her death.
She was born Aug. 2, 1866 in Poland and came to this country at the age of 14 with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lasinski. The family settled in New York for two years and then came to the Polonia area.
She was married in 1886 to Peter Pionkowski and the couple resided on a farm near Polonia for 40 years and then on other farms in the same area.
Mr. Pionkowski died Nov. 1, 1946.
Mrs. Pionkowski was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church in the Town of Alban.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barney Jelinski, Tigerton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Dzikowski Funeral home.
