John Lasinski, 81, town of Reid, Marathon county a former resident of Portage county, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. View sanatorium at Wausau following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 at the home of his daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Kulinksi, town of Reid, and at 9 o'clock at St. Ladislaus' Catholic church, Bevent, with Rev. John Krasowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lasinski, the deceased was born in Poland, Feb. 3, 1870. He came to this country in 1882 and was married at Polonia Feb. 17, 1902, to Miss Babina Litza, who survives. The couple formerly had a farm in the town of Sharon, and resided in the town f Reid the past 13 years.
Besides the widow, survivors include five sons, Joseph Lasinski, Stevens Point, Anton Lasinski, Waukesha, Isadore Lasinski, town of Reid, Theodore Lasinski, Chicago, and Peter Lasinski, Port Orford, Ore; nine daughters, Mrs. Peter Karpinski, Stevens Point, Mrs. August Meronek,, Mrs. George Kamer and Mrs. Walter Skorszewski, Chicago, Mrs. Barney Jelinski, Tigerton, Mrs. Barney Dombrowski, Mrs. Kulkinski and Mrs. Walter Maszk, town of Reid, and Mrs. August Kareka, town of Norrie, Marathon county; tow sisters, Mrs. Joseph Pionkowski, Steven Point, and Mrs. Frances Nevinski, Galloway; 28 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
