She was the daughter of the late Bennie Palmer Davis and Corrie Bell Parker Davis. She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Smoak. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Ann Layton of Ladson, Sharon Holt of California, Debbie Owens of Jacksonville, FL and Patsy Clemmons of Aiken; one son, Levi MIzzell of Moncks Corner; a sister, Eloise Corbett of Orangeburg; two special nieces, Donna Clegg of Orangeburg and Brenda Griffis of Cordova; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
