REXBURG - Agnes Christina Grover Orr, 78, Archer, died June 14, 1988 at Madison Memorial Hospital of causes incident to age.
She was born September 14, 1909 at Archer, to Elisha Freeman and Emma Maria Erickson Grover. She was raised at Archer and attended school at Lyman, and graduated for Ricks Academy.
She married Joseph Lavell Orr on June 19, 1930 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
They lived at Archer where they farmed. He died in 1983. She was an organizer of the a school for the handicapped in the early 1960s. She was an active member of the LDS Church and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survivors include four sons, Merlin Orr and Spencer Orr, both of Archer; Lyle Orr of Phoenix, Arizona, and Bennett Orr of Salmon; seven daughters, Ada Marie Greene of Archer, Mrs. Mike (Norene) Mikkola of Idaho Falls, Mrs. Deloy (Lanette) Hope of Boise, Mrs. Stuart (Emelie) Dickey of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Robert (Shirlene) Wren of Hibbard, Mrs. Barry (Lila) Garner of Newdale, and Mrs. Gary (Karen) Ferguson of Ririe; five brothers, Dayton Grover, Carl Grover, Mark Grover, and Steve Grover, all of Archer, and LaVar Grover of Rexburg; three sisters, Mrs. Learin (Edna) Terry and Mrs. Ellis (Elsie) Wilcox, both of Archer, and Mrs. Addison (Zola) Holden of Rexburg; 39 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, and two brothers.
Her funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Archer LDS Ward Church by Bishop Richard Holloway. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery at Archer.
