Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, with the Rev. Donald Ripley officiating. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters Judith Haack, Eugene, Ore., Janice Payne and Juanita Staley both of Webster City, Janey Dunn, Blairsburg, Jolene Dammen, Starkweather N.D., Joyce Mischel, Ankeny, and Jone Staley, Des Moines; son Jerry Staley, Webster City; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Bailey, Webster City; sisters Velva Adams, Ames and Julia Int Veldt, Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Carpenter Bailey, son John Staley, brother William Bailey, sister Naomi Bailey.
Alma Marie Bailey was born Oct. 12, 1920 on a farm near Lehigh. She atteneded Missouri Bend and Casey rural schools near Lehigh. In 1941, she married James Staley at Webster City. The couple lived in Webster City. She had been employed in the laundry department at Hamilton County Public Hospital, as a cook at Southfield Care Center, and at the Boondocks U.S.A. as a cashier. She retired in 1985. He died in 1989.
