The passionate spirit of Julia A. IntVeldt, 87, of Marshalltown, Iowa, left this earthly life on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Legacy Lodge in Chariton, Iowa. Memorial Services at the Cornerstone Community Church, in Chariton, Rev. Phil Rich officiating, inurnment in Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown beside her husband, Bob.

Julia Anne was born on August 12, 1931, the daughter of John and Mary Ella (Carpenter) Bailey in Lehigh, Iowa. On August 12, 1964, Julia married Robert "Bob" IntVeldt in Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked as a fashion buyer for McAllister's in Marshalltown for many years.

Julia was a member of United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, where she was also a receptionist for several years, started a widow's support group, and participated in Prison Card Ministry, writing letters to prisoners. Julia loved dogs, reading, sewing, cooking, managing their home, and taking care of her husband. Most recently, she was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Chariton.

Survivors include her children, Laura Tempel-Kurtz of Kansas City, Missouri, Robert (Jane) IntVeldt of Jasper, Georgia, Patricia (Ken) Wheeler of Rockford, Illinois, Veronica Tempel-Dutton of Chariton, and Janice Peoples of Frisco, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Bob; son James; grandchild LuAnn Tempel; and five siblings
