Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Jordan Meador, age 71, of Columbia were held Wednesday, October 29th at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Thompson and Rev. Cecil Gregory officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery, Hebert under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Mrs. Meador died Tuesday, October 28th at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Columbia after a long illness.
Mrs. Meador was a member of Columbia Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Ashley J. Meador, Columbia, four sons, Mr. Charles Meador, Hebert, Mr. Andrew J. Meador, Grayson, Mr. Tommy Meador, Clarks, Mr. Ricky Meador, Guin, Alabama, and three daughters, Mrs. Louise Ellis, Columbia, Mrs. Avis Mae Stamps, Fayette, Alabama, and Mrs. Annie Sweet, Frost, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Odelle Bauer, Bakersfield, California, and 19 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Michael Stamps, Robert Stamps, Steven Stamps, Andy Meador, Billy Ellis, Bobby Ellis, Jason Meador, and Rusty Meador.
