Seth Simpson, 58, Sligo, died Sept. 2, 1955, at Reynoldsville, Penna., while at work for the Bracken Construction Co. Mr. Simpson, a son of the late William and Mary I. Buzzard Simpson, was born May 19, 1897 in Madison township, Clarion county, Penna. In 1917 he was married to Mary Wiser, who survives. Besides his wife he leaves six children; Mrs. Ruth Rummel, Sligo; Mrs Betty Bishop, Bruin; William Simpson, Sligo; Mrs. Jane Hawk, Callensburg; Dean Simpson, Sligo, and Patty Simpson, at home. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers Mrs. Wm. Erbe, Sligo; Mrs. Jane Loreng, East Brady; Mrs. Mae Cogley, East Brady, Ben Simpson, Sykesville; George Simpson, Creekside, and Robert Simpson, Rimersburg. Eight grandchildren also survive. Mr. Simpson was a member of the Sligo Methodist church and teacher of adult Bible class. He served in World War I and was a member of Elliott Gathers McKee Post 149 Sligo. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Methodist church, Sligo, with the Rev. Fred Hunt, officiating. Burial was made in Sligo Grandview cemetery with military rites.

SETH A. SIMPSON — An employee of Bracken Construction was stricken and died while at work on a road project near Reynoldsville, September 3. He was Seth A. "Pete" Simpson, of Sligo. Mr. Simpson was born May 19, 1897, in Madison Twp., Clarion County, the son of William A. and Mary D. Buzzard Simpson. He married Mary Wiser in 1917. Surviving, besides his wife, are four daughters and two sons; Ruth Rummell, Sligo; Betty Bishop, Bruin; Jane Haun, Callensburg; and Patty at home; William, Sligo; Dean, Sligo; Eight grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers, Martha Erbe, Sligo; Ben Simpson, Sykesville; George, Crickside; Jane Lorenz, East Brady; May Cogley, East Brady; and Robert, Rimersburg, also survive. A veteran of World War 1, Mr. Simpson was a member of the American Legion Post 147, and the Methodist Church of Sligo. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 7, in the Sligo Methodist Church by the Rev. Paul B. Dunlap. Interment was in Sligo Cemetery. The Guy M. Hawk Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
