FRED LINDSEY
Services will be at 9 a.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home for Fred Lindsey, 88, of Craigmont Care Center, 2348 E. Ninth St., who died of a heart ailment Thursday at the center.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Kennebec Cemetery in Castana.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Missouri and lived in Des Moines 32 years. He was a retired construction worker at Lindsey Brothers Construction Co.
Survivors include seven sons, James and Marvin, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Fred and Jon, both of Des Moines, Carey of Story City, Wilbur of Colfax and Alvin of Pleasantville; six daughters, Lorene Gerstenberger and Donna Nystrom, both of Des Moines, Gladys Johnson of Rock Island, Ill., Minnie Curry of Dubuque, Pauline Smaby of Marion and Martha Schumacher of Mount Pleasant; four sisters, Belle Prunty of Rock Island and Pearl DeMoss, Onie Brown and Florence Thurman, all of Beardstown, Ill., 40 grandchildren and 69 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.
