Sylvanis Langston Dies Suddenly Wednesday

Sylvanis Langston, aged 71, well know citizen of the Flat Rock vicinity, died at his home, four mile east of here, early Wednesday morning.

His death was unexpected, as he appeared as well as usual until the hour of his passing. He arose at his usual time and was in the feed lot doing his customary chores when he collapsed, death occurring a few minutes later. Mr Langston was born and reared in this section, practically all his life having been spent in the Flat Rock vicinity. He had been a member of the Methodist church since early in life and was highly respected by a host of friends.

Surviving, are three sisters, Misses, Millie, Polly and Nancy Langston, of Flat Rock and two brothers, Henry Langston of Calico Rock and Robert Langston of Forty Four.

His wife, the former Miss Minnie Harber, preceded him in death by several months.

The funeral will be held at Flat Rock church this Friday, morning, services to be conducted by Rev. W. T. Watson.
