Clara Angelice Buettner, 83, of Atascadero, died Friday, May 10, 2002, at her residence.
Visitation will be held and the rosary recited from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Chapel of the Roses of Atascadero. Father Joseph R. Hercek will officiate. Burial will take place at Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Mo.
Mrs. Buettner was born May 19, 1918, in Bartlett, Neb., one of 10 children. She married Lawrence Buettner on Nov. 25, 1935. Mrs. Buettner enjoyed cooking, reading, iris gardening, completing crossword puzzles, and also genealogy and animals.
Mrs. Buettner is survived by her daughters, Rosalie and husband Leon Wales of Missouri, Maxine and husband Tony DiDonna of California, and Elaine and husband Marty Martsolf of Alaska; sisters, Joan Hunt of New York and Anita Eubank of Idaho; and a brother, Bob Kinney of Montana. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold J. Buettner, in 1952 and her husband, Lawrence Buettner, in 1988.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Roses.
