Hugh F. Johns, lifelong resident of Washington Township, died Sunday, March 5, 1950, at 11:30 o'clock in his home in Adrian R. D. 1. He had been ill for several months. He was aged 78 years, 11 months and 29 days. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura (Flenner) Johns; four daughters, Mrs. Amos Hooks, Mrs. Parks Crissman, Mrs. Kale Croyle and Mrs. Daniel Lewis, all of Adrian, R. D. 1; two sons, Earl Johns and Burton Johns, both of Adrian R. D. 1. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William Cornmeal, West Kittanning and one half-brother, Thurman Gibson of Ford Cliff. Friends are being received in the late home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Brush Valley Brethren church, of which he was a member, with the pastor, Rev. Paul Neff, in charge. Burial will be made in the John s cemetery.
