Henry H. John, Aged 63 years died suddenly Thursday evening, April 27, 1944, at 5:30 o’clock in his home in West Mosgrove. Mr. John is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nannie John; two daughters, Mrs. William Slagle of Templeton, R.D. 1 and Mrs. Andrew John of Adrian R.D. 1; nine sons, Hollis, James, Clifford, Wilson, and Wilford all of Adrian R.D. 1, Arnold of Kittanning, R.D. 3, Vernon of Templeton R.D. 1, and Pfc. Charles and Pfc. Clarence both stationed in England with the U.S. Army. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, three brothers, H. F. John of Adrian R.D. 1, Emanuel John and Therman Gibson, both of Ford Cliff, and three sisters, Mrs. William Cornman of West Kittanning, Mrs. Robert Reigard of Freeport, and Mrs. Lou Burdette of Ford Cliff. Funeral services will be held in the late home at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Perry Miller, pastor of the Brush Valley Brethren Church. Burial will be made in Myers Cemetery. The Snyder funeral home of Cowensville is in charge of the arrangements. Married: Nannie Ellen Flenner November 13, 1900 in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania
