Young Kirkland was injured Monday afternoon at Hodge and rushed to Ruston to the hospital for treatment, but so serious were the injuries that he died that night about nine o'clock.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Kirkland, two sisters, Misses Lee Oval and Hazel Kirkland of Gansville, and one brother, Goodrich Kirkland of Jonesboro.
