She married Amos H. Foust (1856-1940). They had two daughters, Catherine Viola married Frank Merton Satterlee and Sarah Elizabeth married Thomas Leach Palmer.
NOTE:
Tom and Mary Palmer had a headstone made for Ellen and estimated her year of death as 1890. Sometime later they discovered through a St. Paul Lutheran Church record (Cool Spring) that she was living in 1892. Tom is Ellen's grandson.
