MRS. ELIZABETH HIMES
Highly Esteemed Woman Died at the Home of Her Daughter.
Death came to Mrs. Elizabeth Himes, wife of Joseph Himes, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Melda Hobba, of Elk Run, yesterday morning at 8 o`clock, following a lingering illness. Heart trouble caused death and the deceased was aged fifty-six years. A resident of Punxsutawney the past eighteen years, the deceased had gained and held the esteem and love of all her acquainteances (sic).
She is survived by her husband and the following children: J. T., of Widner; Mrs. Mary E. Smouse, of Windber; Mrs. Nettie E. Warner, of Albion; Charles A., of Albion; Mrs. Melda Hobba, of Punxsutawney; Nettie and Harry, at home. Peter Reitz, Samuel Reitz, of Cool Spring; Frank Reitz, of Climax, were brothers, and Mrs. Barr and Mrs. L. Obney (sic: Doney), of Apollo; Mrs. Barbara Cochrane, of Frostburg; sisters of the deceased. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o`clock at the home of Mrs. Hobba, in Elk Run. Rev. U. O. H. Kerchner, will officiate.
