William C. "Dub" Hill Jr., 81, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, at home, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Dub was a longtime resident of the Fort Worth area. He retired from Lone Star Gas Company in 1990 after 39 years of service and was an active member of Springdale Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and an active volunteer for the Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Keith Hill, in 1973; sister, Helen Hill, in 1938; and brother, Terrell Hill, in 2005.
Survivors: His wife of 57 years, Nancy Hill; daughters, Lisa Hill and Sherri Germann and husband, Dan; brother, Rayburn Hill; sisters, Mozelle Abshire, Laverne Guilliams and Bettie Rhodes; grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Melaine and Heather.
