THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 13, 2005:

'The Rev. Terrell Hill, 75, minister and barber in Lamar County for more than 50 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Trinity Baptist Church in Reno, with the Rev. Buddy Greer and Rayburn Hill officiating. Burial follows in Union Grove Cemetery under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Lamar County, the son of William Curtis Hill Sr. and Scottie Mable Johnson Hill. He attended Graham Elementary School, Ballinger Elementary School, Powderly Elementary School, Paris High School, and graduated from Delmar High School before attending Heath Barber School in Fort Worth. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from December 1950 to December 1953, during the Korean War. He was ordained as a Baptist Minister in 1958, and served at Friendship Baptist Church, Brookston Baptist Church, Belmont Baptist Church, Mount Olive Baptist Church, Shoals Baptist Church, Cherry Street Bible Church, Trinity Baptist Church and was still serving as interim pastor for several churches at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Billie Jo Maynard Hill, whom he married on March 13, 1981; grandson, James Kelsey Hill; and a sister, Helen E. Hill, who died as an infant. Survivors include his children, James 'Terry' Terrell Hill Jr. and wife, Ramona, of Paris, Ronny Hill and wife, Lesa, of Paris, Brenda J. Sheetz and husband, Doug, of Rowlett; and their mother, Myra Jean Fuller Hill; three sisters, Mozelle Abshire and husband, Jack, Laverne Guilliams and husband, Bugs, and Bettie Rhodes and husband, Benny, all of Paris; two brothers, William Curtis 'Dub' Hill Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Fort Worth and Harold Rayburn Hill Sr. and wife, Nancy, of Rockwall; grandchildren, Amy E. Brown and husband, Gary, of Paris, Zackery L. Hill and wife, Katie, of Paris, Sean C. Hill of Fort Worth, Blakely M. Hill of Paris, Cody C. Hill of Paris, Leah M. Allen of Rowlett, Evan Allen of Rowlett, Preston Allen of Denton, Chad Sheetz of Rowlett and Robert Campbell of Paris; great-grandchildren, Cozy, Sarah and Henry Brown, Alexandra Hill, Kyleigh Brook Hill and Blake Bowden, all of Paris. Casket bearers are Zackery L. Hill, Sean C. Hill, Cody C. Hill, Evan Allen, Preston Allen and Robert Campbell. Henry Cole will serve as an honorary casket bearer.'
